First let me start off by pointing out that I am NOT a developer. What I am, as many people are I’m sure, is an enthusiast for teaching kids coding. I’ve played Scratch with my 5 year old niece, to see if we can get her going, and I’m always on the lookout to encourage youngsters to learn.
I just saw a tweet about Robotikey that caught my attention. After reviewing the article, my thoughts are
- Scratch is cuter; I like the interface better
- Robotikey comes with a toy, and it’s movement will make coding real life for kids – very cool.
- Can we combine the two? Will MIT work on something similar for their already extensive program?
Robotikey is on Kickstarter and asking for funding
